Directions on foot from Avenida España

Go straight up Calle San Pedro (next to Mumu restaurant), then across Calle Real with the tobacconist on your right. Go straight over Calle Malaga until you reach restaurant Olivia where you need to turn left. You will find Pasaje De Maruja Mallow a few meters further on your right.

Buses

There are buses to Estepona from Malaga airport and La Linea de la Conception (Gibraltar). Please be aware that these are often subject to change without notice. Here is a link to Avanza Buses.

The bus leaves from directly outside Malaga airport.

It is a short walk across the border to La Linea bus station.

Buses from both airports stop at Estepona bus station, which is about a 15-minutes walk or a 3-minute taxi ride costing around €6. There is a taxi rank at the bus station.

If you want to walk from the bus station turn right onto Av Litoral and go straight across the next 3 roundabouts. When you reach the Cenyt hospital roundabout go straight across to Av Espana beside the beach. Continue along Av Espana until you reach Calle San Pedro (Mumu restaurant), then follow the directions below.

Taxis

Taxis from Malaga take around 1 hour and 20 minutes. Taxis from outside Malaga airport can cost over €120.

From Gibraltar the journey takes from 35-50 minutes.

We recommend pre-booking with Happy Transfers. Please ask the driver to drop you off at/opposite Avenida España and Calle San Pedro by Mumu restaurant.

Tourist office

This is on Plaza de las Flores. Come out of the house, go to the bottom of the steps onto Calle Caridad, and turn right. Walk to the end of the street and go straight over past the chemist on the right. Carry on past the Irish bar to the end of the street where you join Calle Terazza. Cross directly over and take a sharp left so that the flower bed is on your left. You will see ahead of you a narrow alleyway, which takes you to Plaza de las Flores. Turn right and the tourist office will be around 20 meters on your right.

Parking

The closest underground car park is Paseo Maritime on Avenida España.

The nearest free car park is on Avenida Litoral, opposite the beach on the right just after Carrefour, which you will pass after leaving the motorway from Malaga. Parking is usually full. It is a 5- to 10-minute walk away.

Nearest shops

Things like opening hours often change with no notice in Spain, so please double check with Google to avoid disappointment.

Bakers

If you come out of the house, go down the steps at the front of the house onto Calle Caridad and turn right. You will find a bakery and cafe around 30 meters on your left called D’Alicia. It is open 9am to 8.30pm most days.

Grocers and butchers

There is a small parade of local shops just moments from the house on Calle Portada, which includes a grocer that sells fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, ham, cheese, and household essentials. There is also a butcher around the corner on Calle San Miguel. On the same parade are ironmongers, hairdressers, and a leather shop. Come out of the house and turn immediately left up the steps. Walk to the end of Calle Aurora, and turn right. Walk for around 50m, and you will see the shops. Most are open from 8.45am to 3pm. The ironmongers only open in the evenings and Saturday mornings.

Supermarkets

This is Mercadona at Av Andalucia 20. Come out of the house, go down the steps at the front onto Calle Caridad, and turn left. When you reach Plaza Ortiz, continue walking until you reach Plaza Paco de Lucia. Turn left into Calle Arroyuelo, and walk up the hill. Turn right onto Calle Manual Garcia Navarro, and walk until the end when it joins Av Andalucia, where you will find Mercadona. Mercadona is open every day from 9am to 9.30pm during the summer months and Monday to Saturday on other times of year.

Pharmacy

Come out of the house, go down the steps at the front to Calle Caridad, and turn right. Walk to the end of the street where you will see a bakery and toy shop on the right-hand side. Carry straight on and you will see a chemist Farmacia Ruedas Y Perez De Vargas immediately on your right. It is open 9am to 10pm on Mondays to Saturdays and 9.30am to 3pm on Sundays.

Refuse

You will find bins on Av Espana and also between 20:00 and 22:00 at the end of Calle Pujerra, which is immediately to the right as you leave the house.
